Your First Visit to Our Twin Cities Practice

Laura -Chiropractic Assistant

Expect to spend about 1 hour for your first visit.  We start by having you fill out an in-depth history form, as the first step to our getting to know you and your health issues.

Health Consultation

This is followed by a consultation, where you and I discuss the state of your health. I then explain the exam process that will follow.

Chiropractic Physical Exam and other tests

Now our comprehensive exam starts.  We begin with a chiropractic physical exam where I examine your spinal joints, posture, and muscle strength.

This is followed by computerized nerve scans, featuring technology that has been used by NASA, to evaluate the effects of lifestyle stress on both your current symptoms and on your overall health.

Specifically, one of our scans, called a Thermal scan is used to see if lifestyle stress is causing impairment to nervous system control of your heart, lungs, stomach and other vital organs.

Another one, our Surface EMG scan looks for abnormal muscle activity in your spine, and how it may be affecting the flexibility of your joints.  All of this testing is non-invasive and painless.

Schedule your Second Visit Consultation

Since I like to take some time to look over your results and their implications, I  will schedule you for a 2nd visit.  At that time I will explain what is going on with you, if I can help and how, and give you several options for care. The cost of this 2nd visit consultation is included in the charge for your initial exam.

Chiropractic Care

If you are in significant pain and would like some immediate chiropractic care on this first visit, we can do that.

X-rays

If I believe you need x-rays or other imaging diagnostics, I will refer you to a medical radiology center located close to our office.

Dr. Carr Asks some important questions of interest to Minneapolis residents - Chiropractor Minneapolis Dr. Carr Asks...

Can those with osteoporosis get chiropractic care?
Of course. When developing a care plan, we consider the unique circumstances of each practice member. There are many ways we can adjust the spine. The chiropractic method we select will be best suited to your age, size and unique situation.
Is average normal or is normal average?
Every chiropractor knows that so-called "normal" is merely an average. What's normal for you may not be normal for anyone else. So the chiropractic approach to better health is to tailor our approach to the unique needs of each of our Minneapolis practice members.
