Minneapolis Chiropractor: Dr. Joe Carr

My Chiropractic Journey

Dr. Joe Carr, Twin Cities Chiropractor

Growing up, I knew nothing about chiropractic care.

I was one of those people who enjoyed doing so many things, that I couldn't decide what I wanted as a career.  I had  a masters degree in psychology from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and worked in the computer field.  I also made and sold pottery in street fairs, considered a career in music, and practiced and taught massage.  Then I met someone who was about to start chiropractic school.  The philosophy and practice of chiropractic she shared with me matched my idea of how I wanted to help people.  Since that day, I have never looked back!!

Chiropractic Education

After taking the appropriate prerequisites, I moved to Minnesota to go to Northwestern College of Chiropractic, located in Bloomington.  It was definitely the most challenging schooling I had been through.

Chiropractic Philosophy

In my mind, the chiropractic adjustment starts the process of reversing nerve interference resulting from lifestyle stress, and allows the brain to better communicate with the trillions of cells in the body.  I am always amazed by how this can re-awaken a person's innate power to improve their health and revitalize their life.   This is has been the motivation for me to come to work every day with a smile on my face for the last 26 years.

Educating Others About Chiropractic and the Wellness Model

I am passionate about educating people in my chiropractic clinic, so they can make the best choices for their health.

I also enjoy educating people in the Twin Cities communities and speaking to groups and businesses about a variety of health related topics.  Probably my most popular is: "The 3 Secrets to Managing Stress".

We Are A Chiropractic Family

I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Donna and my son Michael.  I feel so fortunate to live in the Twin Cities with such great natural amenities.  I love to cross-country ski in the winter, bike in the spring and fall, and swim in the local lakes in the summer.  I also enjoy cooking healthy food that tastes good.

Enough about me!  How can we help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care?  Give our Minneapolis office a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.

Can those with osteoporosis get chiropractic care?
Of course. When developing a care plan, we consider the unique circumstances of each practice member. There are many ways we can adjust the spine. The chiropractic method we select will be best suited to your age, size and unique situation.
Is average normal or is normal average?
Every chiropractor knows that so-called "normal" is merely an average. What's normal for you may not be normal for anyone else. So the chiropractic approach to better health is to tailor our approach to the unique needs of each of our Minneapolis practice members.
